Has becoming a caregiver in midlife increased your stress?
As women transition through midlife, they often face changes in their bodies and outlook. These changes, a lack of information and education, and a poor support system leave many unable to properly deal with a woman's natural transition through midlife. Becoming a caregiver at this time adds more stress to an already stressful time in their lives.

For me, the stress level has increased as I've been sandwiched by raising a high-schooler who is becoming more and more independent and developing her own thoughts where we often do not agree so I have to balance between encouraging her on independent thinking while protecting her from making suboptimal decisions. Caring for elderly parents, though, not tough physically, takes a lot of time and energy.
