I leveraged home care services for my mother briefly as her dementia worsened and she was still at home. While they met an immediate need, for which I will always be thankful, I learned that they didn't really do medication management. So, if the individual has cognitive issues and needs to take medication of any sort on a set schedule, home care services aren't necessarily effective.
