Physical activity is defined as any bodily movement that uses skeletal muscles and requires more energy than sitting. This includes dancing, gardening, mowing the lawn, cleaning, and climbing stairs or hills. Manage stress and anxiety by doing such things as meditating, journaling, or doing yoga. Roughly 2/3's of all dementia patients are women. Approximately 1/3 are men. For women, it is more a hormonal and metabolic issue, with signs of dementia developing during menopause. Healthy lifestyle changes will go a long way to help women as they transition through menopause. For men, it it more cardiovascular in nature. Healthy lifestyle changes are important here as well
