One way to offer help is to use the computer to find out more information about their condition since often our parents don't have a computer or are not confident in their use of it. I would offer to learn more about their different diagnoses as a way of helping rather than interfering. I'd read a few articles and then say, "Did you know...?" or "I looked this up and found out..." I wanted to show my support. I kept the rest to myself if the information seemed to agitate them. Knowledge is power when it comes to understanding all the various health conditions accompanying old age.
